Trip to Andorra 9th of November 2008

To come away from the daily grind, Dana and I did a trip to Andorra. Most of the people go to Andorra, an independent state between France and Spain, to by for little money cigarettes and alcohol. But we went there because we wanted to see other places around Toulouse. Dana hadn't been at the mountains. She comes from a town near by Hamburg. And I wasn't in the Pyrenees until this moment. Ok, when I went to Empuriabrava, we passed those, but to drive "into" them it's another thing. It was fantastic! Short before we had drive through a small bank of fog but behind it there was sun! And that gave us a great view to the mountains. It became better al the more we approached. Every fanatic skier or snowboarder would become jealous: A lots of snow, sunshine and blue sky! The highest point we passed at our trip was about 2410 meters altitude. Breakfast we had at 2350 meters short after the boarder in Pas de la Casa. After that we went to Andorra la Vella, the capital. Shopping!!! And a good chance to use my Spanish knowledge (in Andorra they speak 3 languages: Catalan, Spanish and French).
